Bio

I always feel weird writing about myself. What am I supposed to say? What words would explain who I am and how my life is. It’s not that I don’t know who I am, I do. I just can never explain. It takes years for people to know me. I don’t mean to be so guarded but it’s my defense against letting anyone hurt me.

Okay enough about that. Well let me introduce myself I’m Amber Ily. My love is writing. It's taken awhile for me to feel comfortable enough to share the inner deep thoughts with people. But here I am, hoping that I'll make my mark on this world.
I am currently going to community college for general education and then transferring to a university. I plan on majoring in English/Journalism with an AS in Photography. Writing has always been my passion. I’ve been writing lyrics and poems since I was six. I have tons of composition notebooks filled with poems. I always have a notebook with me. I’m a very creative person. I love to paint, draw, collage, take photos, sing, and play guitar.

I believe music and poetry have saved my life in many ways. It the only way I feel like I can express myself when no one else can understand what I’m going through. I have two ultimate favorite musicians, Bob Dylan and the band Brand New (Jesse Lacey is sexy). I probably listen to both of them at least twice a day.

I have tons of health problems but I tend to try and not talk about them. I usually try to ignore them. I'd rather just try to take pleasure in the little things in life. It’s too tiring to plan ahead. Your expectations usually get shot down that way. I like to take one day at a time. Every day is a new day!
